Since first recording for Moon Harbour in 2008, Dan has gone onto curate their monthly radio shows, alternating with Luna City Express, and as such as become a consistent influence within the label and their output.

Alongside Dan’s mix the podcast also peaks into some of our picks for this weekend as well, Back to Basics in Leeds with James ZabielaJack Groove getting MK down to Coventry and Manchester’s Beatnik, as well as a look over to a couple of European festivals - Fresh Island Festival in Croatia and Serbia’s Exit Festival.

#32 - Venus with John Dahlback

Episode 32 of the Skiddle.com Weekends Matter podcast is now available for your listening pleasure

In this episode we feature an exclusive mix from John Dahlback who will be playing at Venus in Manchester on the 1st March

Venus started life as Manchester’s best loved night out, fulfilling the promoter’s mantra that it’s all about quality, rather than quantity. After a decade in Manchester, the team behind Venus took the brave step to open their very own nightclub. Venus opened at the beginning of 2010 with a fanfare of funk and quickly found a home in the very heart of Manchester’s club scene.

John Dahlback brings his Mutant Nights to Venus for the first time. Mutant is John's record label and in just three years it has established itself as a global force with over 20 releases from the likes of Avicii, Tommy Trash and John himself, as well as his fellow label mate who is playing on the night, Lunde Bros. He travels the world playing his trademark big room sound and has also remixed for tracks for Lady Gaga, Nicole Featuring 50 Cent, Skylar Gray, David Morales and Sneaky Soundsystem.

Podcast Special: Cream with Carl Cox

Cream’s phenomenal story began back in 1992 when it staged its first event in a small 400 capacity venue in the backstreets of Liverpool, few then would realise the success it would go on to achieve and 20 years on, through sheer ambition, Cream has gone on to change the face of clubbing and become the leading global player in electronic music festivals inspiring many of today’s visionaries along the way.

So its only fitting that the legendary Cream return to its spiritual home of Nation in Liverpool to celebrate this landmark occasion with two birthday bashes taking place on Saturday 6th and Saturday 13thOctober with a line up bigger than some festivals!

Skiddle would like to wish Cream all the best for it's 20th year anniversary, we've certainly enjoyed working with you with the 11 or so years that we've been in business - and definately enjoyed some of your mammoth parties along the way. To help celebrate here's a special guest mix from the main man himself, Carl Cox.
