Going out. It’s important. The very reason why Skiddle was founded was to unite people that love events. If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that going out gives us normality, a chance to let go and connect with our community. But is it more than that?

Space in Ibiza has won more awards than any other club in the world and is probably the most recognised brand in clubland. Since then UK DJ's and promoters have had a heavy presence with 'We Love' holding the Sunday day and night party since 1999. The list of DJ's that have played is endless and the Skiddle team have enjoyed many a day and night there! Tickets are on sale on Skiddle for their opening fiesta on the 26th May and for all Space events throughout the season
Jonathan Ulysses has been a resident DJ at We Love at Space for 15 years. His sets on the terrace are legendary and have led to him travelling the world spinning week in, week out at the world’s leading nightclubs. He has compiled numerous compilations for labels around the world and also has his own clothing label, Ulybug. Check out his full profile on Skiddle and on Facebook

Episode 36 of the Skiddle.com Weekends Matter podcast is now available for your listening pleasure
In this episode we focus on Defected Records with an exclusive mix from Santé
Defected Records began life in 1999 with their first release Soulsearcher 'I Can't Get Enough' which went to number 5 in the UK charts. They have never looked back since then and chances are you would have heard a Defected track in a club or bar over the past 14 years. They can take the credit for introducing now household names such as Bob Sinclar, Junior Jack, Sandy Rivera, ATFC and Copyright to a house hungry crowd. Over half a million people attend their 'Defected In The House' events each year, now operating in more than 40 countries worldwide including the Ministry of Sound in London.
Santé is a Berlin resident and is relatively new on the scene but has made a big impact in such a short time, Last year he had success with his track ‘Homegirl and has previously had releases on Desolat, Strictly Rhythm and 8Bit. He has launched his own record label and clothing brand, Avotre, and has already signed up Re.You and Sidney Charles. He will be joining Dennis Ferrer, Copyright and Noir on the decks at Defected in the House in London.
The podcast also features our guide to the top five events happening across the UK. Let us know what you think about this episode on Facebook at www.facebook.com/skiddleuk and buy tickets for all events at www.skiddle.com
