Coming Soon: The Going Out Podcast from Skiddle

Going out. It’s important. The very reason why Skiddle was founded was to unite people that love events. If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that going out gives us normality, a chance to let go and enjoy ourselves. But is it more than that? Join us and our guests as we delve into our past nights out to see how we’ve been shaped by the events that we love.

Charlie Hedges presents Skiddle Podcast 011 - guest mix Disciples

Our penultimate podcast of the year is one of our biggest to date. With a guest mix courtesy of one of dance music's finest production groups and a classic track selected by one of the scene's true greats, this is an episode as well-suited to those dreary weekdays in the office as it is the party pre-drinks.

Starting things off as always is our podcast host Charlie Hedges, who is armed with another load of dancefloor-ready house tunes. This time she's got new music from the likes of Solardo, Tough Love and House Of Virus.

Our first interview of the episode is with the much-loved elrow resident Toni Varga. After a summer of wowing crowds around Europe with the unparalleled party concept, it seemed fitting that we caught up with one of the DJs which has helped carve so many of those unforgettable moments. We asked him all about the club's popularity and his favourite elrow show to date.

The next chat is with one of house music's most respected and influential artists, Roger Sanchez. As ambitious as he is musically gifted, Sanchez is a true master of his craft. No surprise then that we were over the moon to secure an interview and a classic house track selection from the main man, and what a choice it is.

The podcast this month is rounded off with a guest mix from chart-conquering trio Disciples, who have been behind some of this year's defining underground/mainstream crossover tracks, most notably their most recent release 'Daylight' (which has received the rework treatment from Detlef and Raffa FL).

See you all next month for our last podcast of 2017!

Charlie Hedges presents Skiddle Podcast 010 - Guest Mix Claptone

p>It's that time of the month when Charlie Hedges and a host of guests deliver the best house music for our Skiddle Podcast. Thanks to a sensational guest mix, some massive new tunes and a gem of a classic track, this is by far one of our best episodes to date (if we do say so ourselves).

The artist responsible for the last half an hour of our tenth podcast is the perplexing and mystical Claptone, one of the most gifted producers and DJs around at the moment. The masked artist is currently building up to the release of his The Masquerade compilation on Defected following a solid year which has seen him perform no less than 280 times. They don't come much more committed and talented.

We've definitely caught the enigma at the right time, filled with groove-laden house moments and hypnotising beats, this is one of those mixes we'll keep going back to.

Elsewhere on the podcast, we've spotlighted in demand party selector Jacky as our Artist Of The Month as he chats to Charlie about his Sankeys residency and current productions before playing his insanely catchy track titled 'Get Down' which was released earlier this year on VIVa LIMITED.

Our classic dance track this month has been selected by an artist and label owner who unsurprisingly has picked out something which wholly fits the bill. You won't be disappointed by the record Dave Seaman has put forward. New tunes come from Infinity Ink, Sam DivineIllyus & Barrientos and Jacky himself. Until next time...

As always Charlie is on hand with some of the best new house tracks, including killer cuts from Disciples, Philip George, DJ S.K.T. and Chris Lorenzo.

Charlie Hedges presents Skiddle Podcast 008 - Guest Mix DJ S.K.T.

It's a good month for new music in the world of Skiddle podcasts. Alongside all our usual features, we've got fresh tracks from the likes of Patrick Topping, Sonny Fodera and Tough Love, all rounded off with a huge guest mix. As always, our podcast host Charlie Hedges and ourselves have handpicked some of the best new tunes, whilst spotlighting artists who are making waves in the world of electronic music. Here's the rundown for 008...

VIVa MUSiC and Warriors boss Steve Lawler rightfully takes our Spotlight - Artist Of The Month slot, a nod to his dedication as a label head honcho as his imprint approaches its 10th birthday. We asked Lawler all about Warriors at Sankeys Ibiza plus his upcoming plans for ViVA.

Blonde were on hand for this instalment to select a classic house track for our From The Vault feature, and it couldn't be more suitable for the slight bits of summer weather we're getting the UK. They also filled us in with their festival highlights and summer plans.

This episode is brought to a close with a rumbling house mix from DJ S.K.T. The production wizz is still flying high from the release of his track 'Poison' and is currently flitting from dream gig to dream gig, stopping off in Ibiza and various UK festivals.

Charlie Hedges presents Skiddle Podcast 007 - Guest Mix CamelPhat

It's been a big month for changes and disappointments, but there's one thing you can guarantee on being anything but underwhelming is our podcast. Charlie Hedges is back with another installment filled with the biggest house tracks and features with some of our favourite artists.

This episode our guests come in the form of an up-and-coming star who has delivered one of the biggest club tracks of the past year and a seasoned and well-respected producer. We've also rounded it off with a big mix from duo CamelPhat that will no doubt become the soundtrack to your pre-drinks throughout July.

Taking our Spotlight feature as artist of the month this time round is Lee Walker. After a whirlwind 12 months after his track 'Freak Like Me' started a dancefloor frenzy, the staple track has now been re-released with vocals from Katy B - a sure sign of how the popularity of this belter will just keep growing. Take a listen to Charlie's interview with him above to find out more.

Our classic track selection comes from Riva Starr. The production wizz and owner of Snatch Records gives Charlie the low down on his upcoming summer and festival gigs before picking out one of his all-time favourite house records.

Bringing things to a close this month are CamelPhat, a duo who have kept their identity pretty much under wraps whilst letting the music do the talking. Standout tracks 'Constellations' and 'Get Sick' garnered major support from Radio 1, and now they're bouncing from festival to Ibiza party.

Charlie Hedges presents Skiddle Podcast 005 - Guest Mix Purple Disco Machine

We've dedicated our latest podcast to the party capital of the world - Ibiza. Our host Charlie Hedges has been chatting to some of the key artists who will be playing on on the island this season, and as always she's delivered some of the best new house music.

Spotlighted as our artist of the month this time round is Josh Butler, who is gearing up for another residency at Tribal Sessions at Sankeys Ibiza this season. We've quizzed him on the upcoming summer plans and also featured one of his latest releases on Cajual Records.

We've got Intec label manager and Music Is Revolution regular Jon Rundell as our classic track selector. Ahead of the last Carl Cox at Space Ibiza season, we asked him about the difficult decision made by the team and asked him to pick a defining dance track that means a lot to him, unsurprisingly it brings back memories of an Ibiza experience.

To round things off this month, Glitterbox resident Purple Disco Machine has put together a mix for us. Filled with his signature disco grooves, it's a suitable showcase for the music that will make Space Ibiza come to life every Friday.

As well as all those features, we've got music from the likes of Gorgon City, Prok & Fitch, CamelPhat and Man Without A Clue

We're four episodes into our podcast series now and things are in full swing, Charlie has delivered another weekend-ready selection of house music from across the globe plus she's caught up with some of our favourite artists as part of our monthly features.

This time round we picked grime's biggest personality Big Narstie as our artist of the month and spoke to him about what life is like when touring schedules get busy, partying on the Skiddle bus and his role in the development of grime.

In the lead up to another busy festival season, we caught up with Circus founder Yousef to talk about his upcoming plans and we also asked him pick a classic house track (it's one of our favourites to date). This month's podcast is wrapped up by a big guest mix from Defected favourite Franky Rizardo, featuring music from the man himself, Lauren Lane, SEFF and DJ T.
