Going out. It’s important. The very reason why Skiddle was founded was to unite people that love events. If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that going out gives us normality, a chance to let go and connect with our community. But is it more than that?

Charlie Hedges presents Skiddle Podcast 011 - guest mix Disciples
Friday Oct 28, 2016
Friday Oct 28, 2016
Our penultimate podcast of the year is one of our biggest to date. With a guest mix courtesy of one of dance music's finest production groups and a classic track selected by one of the scene's true greats, this is an episode as well-suited to those dreary weekdays in the office as it is the party pre-drinks.
Starting things off as always is our podcast host Charlie Hedges, who is armed with another load of dancefloor-ready house tunes. This time she's got new music from the likes of Solardo, Tough Love and House Of Virus.
Our first interview of the episode is with the much-loved elrow resident Toni Varga. After a summer of wowing crowds around Europe with the unparalleled party concept, it seemed fitting that we caught up with one of the DJs which has helped carve so many of those unforgettable moments. We asked him all about the club's popularity and his favourite elrow show to date.
The next chat is with one of house music's most respected and influential artists, Roger Sanchez. As ambitious as he is musically gifted, Sanchez is a true master of his craft. No surprise then that we were over the moon to secure an interview and a classic house track selection from the main man, and what a choice it is.
The podcast this month is rounded off with a guest mix from chart-conquering trio Disciples, who have been behind some of this year's defining underground/mainstream crossover tracks, most notably their most recent release 'Daylight' (which has received the rework treatment from Detlef and Raffa FL).
See you all next month for our last podcast of 2017!

Charlie Hedges presents Skiddle Podcast 010 - Guest Mix Claptone

p>It's that time of the month when Charlie Hedges and a host of guests deliver the best house music for our Skiddle Podcast. Thanks to a sensational guest mix, some massive new tunes and a gem of a classic track, this is by far one of our best episodes to date (if we do say so ourselves).
The artist responsible for the last half an hour of our tenth podcast is the perplexing and mystical Claptone, one of the most gifted producers and DJs around at the moment. The masked artist is currently building up to the release of his The Masquerade compilation on Defected following a solid year which has seen him perform no less than 280 times. They don't come much more committed and talented.
We've definitely caught the enigma at the right time, filled with groove-laden house moments and hypnotising beats, this is one of those mixes we'll keep going back to.
Elsewhere on the podcast, we've spotlighted in demand party selector Jacky as our Artist Of The Month as he chats to Charlie about his Sankeys residency and current productions before playing his insanely catchy track titled 'Get Down' which was released earlier this year on VIVa LIMITED.
Our classic dance track this month has been selected by an artist and label owner who unsurprisingly has picked out something which wholly fits the bill. You won't be disappointed by the record Dave Seaman has put forward. New tunes come from Infinity Ink, Sam Divine, Illyus & Barrientos and Jacky himself. Until next time...
