#20 - Hard Times with Louie Vega

Hard Times celebrates its 19th birthday this Sunday with Louie Vega who has kindly provided us with a mix. Hard Times was started by Steve Raine in Mirfield, Yorkshire and has since moved to various cites including Huddersfield and Leeds as well as hosting one off nights in London. Known for pioneering the US house sound the list of DJ's who have played is endless but includes Roger Sanchez, Todd Terry, David Morales, Frankie Knuckles and Masters at Work. Louie Vega One half of Masters at Work, Louie Vega, will be helping the birthday celebrations at The Warehouse. A DJ for over 30 years he was a regular guest at Hard Times and released the US house classic ‘The Hard Times March’ alongside Kenny Dope under their ‘200 Sheep’ alias on the Hard Times label in 1995. Tickets are still available for the Hard Times birthday on Sunday night at The Warehouse in Leeds.
